Lately, I have been trying to find things to do that don’t involve going out and being up all night. Not that I don’t enjoy going out and dancing with my my girls- I love it, in fact- but sometimes I just like to do something relaxing. Some of my friends call me a grandma because of this, but it doesn’t really bother me. So here is a list of low-key activities I enjoy doing:
1. Walking the waterfront in Tacoma- I love doing this for a number of reasons. If I go with a friend, it gives us a chance to just spend time reconnecting. We can talk, laugh and cry together. I love going alone too. It’s gorgeous out, there are a million places to rest and take in the sights. It’s great for spending time in thought and with the Lord. There are ALWAYS cute guys running and biking… oh- and it just so happens to be a great workout :)2. Spending the day in Barnes n Noble- No, this does not make me weird! I LOVE reading. I read all types of books and never get tired of them. Reading is SO relaxing and it’s a great time to learn something new, or expand your knowledge on a subject you already know and love! The reason I choose BN every time is because they have thousands of books, lots of seating- chairs, floors- and STARBUCKS! It’s the perfect way to spend a rainy day!
3. Reruns- I love putting on my pjs, fuzzy socks, popping some pop corn and watching reruns of my favorite shows. Usually, I watch Criminal Minds, Friends, Grey’s Anatomy or Army Wives…. my 4 favorite shows ever!
This are my 3 favorite things to do when I just want to relax or lay low. They may seem boring to some, but to me- they’re heaven
